Creative and Educational
Creative and Educational
JumpingClay USA offers a wide range of programs to fit every situation. While the possibilities are endless, we've developed several themed workshops to help get you started. Most workshops are one hour of step-by-step modeling with instruction and assistance from our trained instructors. While our workshops provide structured content there is lots of room for creativity as each craft ends up being unique and we encourage everyone to make it their own.
Goals of the programs:
Workshops are typically one fun-filled hour led by trained JumpingClay instructors. All materials are included in the price and there is no need to fire or bake it afterwards; simply take it home that very day. Themes change monthly and vary depending on seasons and holidays. Here are a few of our standard workshops:
Our most common and popular workshops! We recommend ages 5+ (this includes adults - we love to have you join the crafting!) One hour workshops often follow holidays or seasonal themes and are run by trained instructors. Workshops teach basic color mixing, shaping, and attaching to create your own unique masterpiece! Since there is no need to bake, you can take your craft home the very same day! We do advise calling ahead for reservations as we have a maximum of 10 participants per class.
Moms and Dads... Want to get out of the house and do something with your toddler or preschooler? We can help! Come to JumpingClay for a wide range of activities designed for younger crafters. Let's be honest . . . you might do a lot of the work, but your little ones will love the craft that they helped make! We recommend ages 2-5, but welcome older siblings too! We do advise calling ahead for reservations as we have a maximum of 10 participants per class.
We have specially designed workshops for Ages 10-Adult the second Saturday of every month. These classes move at a slightly faster pace and often include small details. Some experience is preferred, but not required. The class meets 2:30-4pm and all materials are included. Examples of crafts: holiday ornaments, fairy houses on terra cotta pots, and decorating picture frames and mason jars. Please call for reservations.
These workshops are either longer workshops or meet for consecutive days/weeks to complete a bigger project. Bigger projects include picture frames, ornaments, or jewelry. Displays are based on themes such as Polar, coral reef, farm, or camping just to name a few! Participants build a 3-D landscape and then add animals and details to make their very own unique scene! Reservations are required.
Are you crafty? Do you like making things? Want to try a new creative outlet? JumpingClay allows your creativity to take shape and produce phenomenal crafts. You can make something for yourself or your kids.
Not crafty? We can help!! You'll be amazed what you can create with JumpingClay.... No skill required. Honest!

JumpingClay USA's Courses meet for consecutive days or one day every week for 4-6 weeks. Our progressive courses are based on the basic shapes and step by step modeling guides. Lesson objectives range from the easy stuff for the younger ones like rolling a ball (learning shapes, developing coordination and motor skills) and simple shapes, to more elaborate themes like oceans and space for the older kids where we’ll build a whole display while learning about the topic.
Invite JumpingClay USA to your next event or maybe we'll see you out! We offer mini workshops and demonstrations at events such as fairs, craft shows, grand openings, kick-offs, and company picnics or parties. Let us add a creative and child-friendly element to your big bash.
What are the recommended ages for workshops?
We recommend ages 2-5 for Pre-School workshops, but welcome older siblings if you are looking for something all of your children can accomplish together! For our 1 hour Workshops, we recommend ages 5+ (this includes adults – we’d love to have you!). Other workshops may have specific age requirements and will be listed in the on-line registration description.
What is the cost of a workshop?
Pre-School workshops are $8 per child and One-Hour workshops are $16 per participant. Other workshops may have different pricing and will be listed in the on-line registration description.
Can a parent help?
Yes absolutely! We encourage parents to participate with their child and will not charge for a parent unless they plan to make their own craft.
Registration is closed – what can I do?
On-line registration closes at 11:59pm the day before a scheduled class, however we may still be able to add you to a workshop. Give us a call at the Academy!
Can I stop in anytime or do I need a reservation?
We hold classes at specific times and those are the only times that we offer a step-by-step workshop. We encourage you to join a class. Please view our schedule (see our pinned post on our Facebook page), select a craft you like, and register online. Walk-ins are welcome anytime the Academy is open to work on their own crafts or to purchase products. However, please be prepared to work independently as our instructors will have workshops to teach or other tasks to complete and will not be available for step-by-step instruction.
At what time should I arrive for a class?
You should plan to arrive about 5 minutes prior to the start of your workshop. This will give you time to sign in and take a look around before beginning!
What if I arrive late for a class?
If you arrive 10 or more minutes late to a workshop, you might not be allowed to join the workshop and your payment may be forfeited. Please understand we run step-by-step workshops and when you arrive late, we need to stop our instruction to get you materials and get you caught up. This is unfair to those who arrived on time and to our instructors who want everyone to have an enjoyable experience.
Can I bring food and/or beverages?
You are welcome to bring a drink or a little snack, however we do ask you to be very careful with drinks during the workshop since a spilled drink can ruin the crafts. Please note: we are a NUT-FREE and alcohol free facility. We have a water fountain and Keurig coffee machine for your convenience.
Do you offer private workshops?
Yes, contact the Academy for more information.
Can I host a workshop at my house or other location?
Yes, contact the Academy for more information.
Do you offer workshops at off-site locations such as daycares, parks and recreation, libraries, scout troop meetings, etc?
We do! Contact the Academy for more information.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! Just yourself!
Will my craft be dry before I leave?
No, but you can take it with you the very same day! Just be sure to put it somewhere safe to dry for 24 hours. Although the clay is 100% safe and non-toxic, little ones and pets can still squish and ruin your masterpiece!
What if I don't finish my craft during the hour workshop?
Our instructors do their best to keep everyone on track to finish in the time period allowed. However if you'd like to stay and add more details, you are more than welcome to move to our walk-in area and craft as long as you'd like! We have clay refills available for as little as $0.50!
When do you post the new schedule?
Our goal is to post a new schedule every Tuesday evening. Class times remain generally the same, but crafts will differ.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! When registering on-line, you will automatically receive a 10% multi-person discount - no promo code needed! Discount available on-line only. If you have a Gift-certificate or coupon, please call the Academy to make your reservation.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
We understand that sometimes “life happens” and you have to cancel an appointment. We feel that we have a very fair cancellation policy that allows the customer to give proper notice and not be penalized for the cancellation.
Please read the following cancellation policy carefully:
This policy is in place out of respect for our instructors and our customers. By giving last minute notice or no notice at all, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule into that time slot.
Thank you for being a valued customer and for your understanding and cooperation.
